Clinic History
Somphob-Amput Clinic was founded in February of 1973. The first
office was located on Soi Pipat, Silom Road. The philosophy of the
clinic was to provide our patients with high quality, up- to- date
medical and dental services by experienced specialists and to
educate the patients to maintain their own physical and oral
health.
At that time the clinic on Soi Pipat had only one medical
examination room and 2 dental units. Even after the clinic
renovation in 1981 into a 6 dental-unit facility, the clinic was
still too small for our fast-growing patient population. In 1986
Somphob-Amput Clinic was then moved to the new office on the 6th
floor of Charn Issara Building on Rama IV Road. Our branch office
on Vongvanij Building on Rama IX Road was officially opened in
1998.
Treatment philosophy
At Somphob-Amput Clinic, every patient has his/her own family
doctor, either a general practitioner or a specialist, who follows
up the patient continuously. Each patient will receive a thorough
examination to diagnose of oral and jaw problems and plan for
proper treatment. The patient will learn about the etiology and
development of their dental problems, prevention of the diseases,
and treatment options; therefore, he/she can make an informed
decision on the treatment of choice as well as learn about his/her
oral care. When the treatment needed is in an area other than the
family doctor’s specialty, the patient will be referred to a
specialist and treated in an interdisciplinary way.
